I am Stephen. I live in Bristol, UK. I decided to shorten my profile...to this: Wildlife, haiku, travel, streetart, psychogeography and my family. Not necessarily in that order.

Hello, Scooj! After looking at this rat, he/she seems to be ok. If it is Domesticated, it could be a different story. It seems to be sniffing, pausing and listening. We would like to know something: How far were you from the rat at the time a taking this amazing picture?
I was about a foot away. I could have touched it. It didn’t even seem to be aware that I was there and didn’t scuttle away from my dog who was next to me.
Understood. I have I feeling it could have been ill, or it was shocked about your dog. It also could have been blind, but their other senses are much better, so being blind is the least likely cause.
Though I imagine the rat might be ok with it
