At least the election process for most European nations allow for feedback for atrocious performance. We in the States are stuck for four years at a time and then the other party gets arrogantly stupid and puts out a mannequin and the incumbent remains in office any way.
Neither system is much good. Our Government and parliamentary system are not fit for purpose any more. The sooner we embrace proportional representation and consensus politics the better.
