2489. Little Paradise (4)

Well I’ve heard that Nevergiveup is leaving town, I’m not sure where he is going or whether he’ll be back, but you can walk anywhere in Bristol and it won’t take long to find a little reminder that he was here. His rabbits have become a bit of a thing over the last eighteen months or so and I still have a great many to find.

This purple fellow is in little paradise (possibly one of the least apt names for a place), propping up a long wall that has some interesting stuff at the other end of it. I have many more rabbits in my archive, but I like to intersperse them with other pieces – I have to be fair to all artists in the city. So although the artist may be leaving, his legacy will be appearing on the pages of Natural Adventures for some time to come. Farewell Nevergiveup Familia.

Finding a gem is always most gratifying and discovering this beautiful understated piece by Gvnly was a real treat. I had been aware of the piece via Instagram, but had no idea where it was and stumbled across it on a random lunchtime walk – often the best way to find new pieces. I have met Gvnly a couple of times, and he has been kind enough to offer tips and advice for which I am most grateful.

This little piece is so beautifully executed and almost falls into the category of micro-art. Not only is the subject really interesting and skilfully painted, it is also framed perfectly… it is as if this space was always meant to be Gvnly’s. Lovely piece.

I think that perhaps I should have posted this yesterday, what with it being Easter Sunday and all that, but hindsight is a fickle fellow and treats us with a level of contempt. This beautiful bunny from Nevergiveup is in one of my favourite named streets in Bristol – Little Paradise. There are two bricked out windows in this alleyway, the other is occupies by a gorgeous Feoflip piece that has survived since Upfest 2017.

This bunny is a little dumpier than many but is no less charming, in fact I think that this is one of my faves. The pink background decoration sets the rabbit off really nicely, and the whole thing is full of good cheer. I am getting so far behind with the rabbits, I have seen at least seven newish ones all over Bristol, but not yet had a chance to photograph them. Nevergiveup has an Instagram account called @followmyrabbits, and you can see his full collection there.

I was on the hunt for a new spot in Bedminster, wandering around an area I am not so familiar with, and would you believe it? I came across this fabulous Feoflip piece in the charmingly named Little Paradise.

This must have been yet another of his little surprises left behind for Bristolians to enjoy from last year’s Upfest. His work is just amazing, and this is a perfect example from him. What is amazing is that several other Bristol graff spotters also found this piece recently, even though it has been here for some time. Scarily, we obviously walk the same routes. I sometimes wonder if I have a doppelganger.
