Yet another fine piece of script writing from Logoe, painted during something of a marathon by the artist on his most recent trip to the city. There is little more that I can say about his pieces that hasn’t already been said.

One thing that has been missing from this feast of work is the incorporation of song lyrics slapped over a corner… maybe he just didn’t allow himself enough time to do them. In a way, his pieces look cleaner without the lyrics, but in another way, they do add interest. I think that I have one more from this session to share, and there was another that was painted over before I had a chance to photograph it. I’m sure there will be more the next time Logoe hits town.

One of the most consistent and busy artists in Bristol is Cort, an artist who likes to keep a low profile and stay out of the limelight. This is a wonderfully striking piece by Cort that switches things up a little bit, as he usually likes to write his name. Here he has written PAD KS, both, I think are crew names.

I have only met Cort on a couple of occasions, which is weird really, given the amount he paints and how often I am out and about. The colours of this piece are nicely juxtaposed, with a vibrant red background and dark grey letters with a black 3d drop shadow. There are a couple of signature yellow strings and shiny circles to add interest. All in all, this is a very nice piece from Cort.

Another classic piece recovered from my archive, and one that baffles me that it never made it into Natural Adventures at the time. It is a wonderful piece by Conrico from October 2019, and features a house character painted in his illustrative style.

The piece, like so much of his work, tells a compelling story, although I don’t quite know what the story is. Entitled ‘Bang’ the house-character is shooting indiscriminately with its pistol fingers. What I particularly like is that the house itself is a fine Victorian/Edwardian design, so typical of the housing stock in Bristol. Bravo!

I think that I have photographed far more pieces by Desi than I have posted, and in my mind think I have posted more than I have. I will have to address this, as I’d like to do a gallery of her work, which is becoming more and more prominent about the place.

Desi has recently taken to using a second form of letters ‘VEIL’ which demonstrated her increasing confidence and experimentation. In this piece we return to the more familiar letters in which she presents four horizontally arranged colours, with quite hard transitions and some bubble decoration. Always great to see Desi’s writing.

The Mole (or to give him his full name, Inca the Mole) has been fairly busy lately with a few pieces in Bristol and elsewhere, which is always good to see. This lovely bit of graffiti writing is on the M32 cycle path, unseen by the motorway traffic above.

From what I have seen, The Mole likes to use softer tones in his work, and appears to be a fan of world peace, as much of his work is decorated with peace symbols incorporated into the colour schemes of his fills. This is very nice, tidy and clean writing, typical of  The Mole’s apparent conscientious approach.

Good morning. Back to work for me today after a fabulous family break. I would be lying if I said I were looking forward to going back to work, and the next few days are going to be particularly tough, but I will get back into the swing of things and do the stuff I do well… and one day I will retire, when we can afford to.

This new piece from Kool Hand has been painted on a section of wall that has remained unchanged for about a year, so it was refreshing to see something new. Kool Hand has been super-busy lately and this is a rather nice piece in four tones (six if you include the background) featuring a crocodile with a roller and Posca pen, out to do his best. The piece is very nicely done, with clever use of shading with tones, and the Clifton suspension bridge in the background is something we all love in Bristol as it gives the work that local flavour. A very nice piece from Kool Hand.

I am writing this last night, as I have a long journey tomorrow, heading for Pula and the last few days of our holiday. So this will be necessarily short, which is a pity because I like writing about Mote’s work.

This is a large piece has some kind of monster cow character (a creation of Mote’s fertile mind), and a message, which might have been added by someone else, saying ‘Animal farming causes climate chaos’. The tagged message completely baffles me, but confirms my belief that most taggers are imbeciles. A lovely, crazy piece from Mote.

I have only recently become aware of Marckinetic and his unique pieces, but now I seem to be seeing them everywhere. I am having to conclude that he is an established artist who has only recently moved to Bristol. How else could I have not had his work on my radar?

I haven’t seen enough of his work to know whether his pieces are some kind of cryptic writing or simply interesting abstract studies in landscape format. Give me a little time and I will find out. This piece is made up of two colour elements: some yellow/orange and pink/purple blocks, and a network of thinner blue arrows running through them. The whole object is given a solid black 3D shadow that very effectively lifts the piece from the wall. Black and blue dots fill the available background space. This is a really nicely constructed piece from Marckinetic that has been expertly finished. Watch this space for more from the artists… maybe tomorrow.

Klashwhensober is an artist I like very much, he is a kind and thoughtful man who uses his art, in part, as a way of being mindful, of taking care of his mental health. It is for exactly the same reason that I write this blog, and collect all the content for it.

I think that Klashwhensober has absolutely smashed it with this piece along the cycle path. In my view it is his best piece to date where all the elements have come together perfectly. The colour palette is superb, the fills absolutely amazing and the finishing is near perfect. Klashwhensober has certainly set a high bar with this one.

From time to time you find a wall that an artist ‘owns’ and I guess the maxim ‘possession is nine tenths of the law’ kicks in. This wall seems to belong to Claro_que_sssnoh, and in the main other artists leave him to it. When it does get painted by someone else, he eventually reclaims the spot.

Claro_que_sssnoh has such a distinctive and attractive style, and with this piece, he has absolutely smashed it in terms of colour palette. His slim joined-up letters, spelling HONS, are filled with some outstanding patterns and designs and the whole piece stands out from the red background. This is a very nice piece from the Spanish artist.
