This is an unexpected collaboration between Hika and Pekoe… unexpected because I don’t really know much about Hika, although I do know all about RBF’s Pekoe. The two have combined nicely and there is much to like about the collaboration.

Hika’s letters might appear, on first inspection, to be a bit messy, but take a closer look and they are nice and clean with decent fills and a black 3D drop shadow. Some of the embellishments include red squiggles, and some rather nice yellow drips.

Regulars will know how much I admire Pekoe’s work, and this is a lovely portrait piece from her. Perhaps the most unusual thing about this one is the hairstyle. Pekoe’s portraits usually host big hair full of stars and shapes, but this one has a stylish short cut that works really well on the limited height of this space. Beautiful big eyes and a customary tear – great work from Pekoe. All in all, a really nice collaboration from this pair.

The progress of Desi continues with this large piece in Peel Street Green which clearly demonstrates her developing confidence. The letters spelling out DEZI, switching things up a bit with the Z for the usual S.

I don’t think I have ever seen Desi paint on a buffed wall, so her pieces have to compete with an often busy background, however, her piece on this occasion is so bold that it stands out beautifully. A nice fill, nice stars and some great accompanying hearts. All good.

definitely appears to be enjoying his writing at the moment, and has produced several fine pieces of writing, including this recent one painted during a paint jam a couple of weeks ago.

The letters KOSC, take a familiar form with an industrial appearance and painted rivets. The shading and central lines in the letters create a 3D effect lifting the letters out of the blue flash background. Graffiti writing that is very easy on the eye.

Happy Halloween. This is a lovely piece painted by Elvs in the tunnel a week or so ago, in time for me to be able to include it in Natural Adventures. There will be quite a few more Halloween pieces to follow, I just haven’t photographed them yet. I haven’t been able to get out much last week.

As ever Elvs’ writing is outstanding and close to perfection, and his grim reaper character is expertly done. Very nice to see. While we enjoy this wonderful art, we should perhaps take a moment to pause and reflect on the tragic events in the news of the deaths of so many people during a Halloween celebration in Seoul, South Korea.

A short couple of posts today, I have things to do and people to see etc. and have left everything a bit late.

This is a fine piece of writing by Wxttsart in Peel Street Green. It is a nice tidy piece and is verging on the style of calligraffiti with its uniform lettering style, but a touch of Wxttsart chaos.

I love his letters MILK, it somehow softens the edge presented by graffiti in the first place, unthreatening and wholesome. Another fine piece of writing from the artist. More to come very soon…

One of the most enjoyable things about Kid Krishna’s work is that he has breathed a little bit of life back into Stokes Croft. Over the years, gentrification of the area has led to a decline in available graffiti walls and a commensurate dwindling interest in spray-painting in the area. Not Kid Krishna though, he seems to favour Stokes Croft, and that is a good thing.

This piece perfectly illustrates Kid Krishna’s style of long straight letters on a single colour background. I still find his cryptic writing very difficult to read, but I am sure the penny will drop one day. I am guessing that this says KRISHNA, and I can see elements of those letters, but who knows? More to come from this relatively new-to-Bristol artist.

I was lucky enough to pass by this little wall when Nugmoose was painting it alongside a friend who has painted a few frogs in the area, but currently doesn’t yet have a ‘street name’. Nugmoose is an interesting artist who seems to take a sideways view of our world.

Nugmoose accompanies his trademark alien writing with a character, of sorts, but it doesn’t seem to matter ho much I look at it, I just can’t make out what it is. It looks organic, so I wonder f it is an alien. I will have to ask him the next time I see him. What you can be sure of with Nugmoose is that his work will always be super-imaginative.

Yet another fine piece of script writing from Logoe, painted during something of a marathon by the artist on his most recent trip to the city. There is little more that I can say about his pieces that hasn’t already been said.

One thing that has been missing from this feast of work is the incorporation of song lyrics slapped over a corner… maybe he just didn’t allow himself enough time to do them. In a way, his pieces look cleaner without the lyrics, but in another way, they do add interest. I think that I have one more from this session to share, and there was another that was painted over before I had a chance to photograph it. I’m sure there will be more the next time Logoe hits town.

I believe that maybe Minto lived in Bristol, although I might have that wrong. One thing for sure though is that he has friends here and regularly visits the city, usually dropping a fin piece of graffiti writing.

This is one such piece, and Minto has combined his writing with a character. It is driving me mad, but I recognise the character but can’t identify him, and even Google has let me down on this occasion. Minto’s work is as meticulous as ever, and he is always welcome to paint in Bristol.

I checked through previous posts before writing this piece about Solar, and it appears that I have only written about his work twice before on Natural Adventures. This is in spite of having taken plenty of pictures of Solar writing about the place. I will need to rummage around in my archives to post more Solar pieces, as they offer an antidote to more conventional graffiti writing.

In this ethereal piece under the M32, Solar has written out his letters, which have a transparent look to them, over a background pattern of red, purple and black ‘marbelling’ of the wall. A lovely piece in a place where it won’t get as much exposure as it deserves.
